Rail strikes are set to renew within the UK in October after a number of days of commercial motion have been cancelled by unions within the wake of the dying of Queen Elizabeth II earlier this month.

The RMT union has introduced a 24-hour stoppage on Saturday, 1 October, in an ongoing dispute with rail bosses over pay, job safety and dealing circumstances, which noticed around 40,000 railway workers walking out during the summer within the largest UK rail strike for greater than 30 years.

The RMT is in dispute with Community Rail and 14 practice working firms: Chiltern Railways, Cross Nation Trains, Larger Anglia, LNER, East Midlands Railway, c2c, Nice Western Railway, Northern Trains, South Japanese, South Western Railway, TransPennine Categorical, Avanti West Coast, West Midlands Trains and GTR (together with Gatwick Categorical).

Aslef members, who had been as a result of strike on 15 September, will now take motion on 1 and 5 October at 12 operators: Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, Cross Nation, Larger Anglia, Nice Western Railway, Hull Practice, LNER, London Overground, Northern Trains, Southeastern, TransPennine Categorical and West Midlands Trains.

Different transport staff from Arriva Rail London, Hull Trains and First Group Southwest buses are additionally as a result of go on strike on 1 October in their very own separate disputes.
