M1 junction 31 completely shut with huge delays after lorry flips over – recap

There have been enormous queues of visitors on the M1 close to Sheffield after a lorry crashed via limitations and overturned down the embankment.

The M1 southbound at J31 A57 Worksop Street (Sheffield/Worksop) was closed this afternoon (Tuesday) following the crash this morning.

This precipitated miles of congestion to J33 (M18 Interchange) and journey time was estimated round 45 minutes.
