Košice Region will become home to a sustainable overnight shelter

Hikers strolling the paths within the Volovské Vrchy Mountains this summer time can have a spot to remain at in a single day.

The wood shelter, designed by GRAU Architects, guarantees to be a cushty retreat for hikers, the place they will eat and heat up. The development shall be geared up with eight beds and a small oven.

The sustainable shelter shall be positioned on the Cesta Hrdinov SNP climbing path, the longest marked path in Slovakia, within the locality of Kloptáň Peak.

Košice Region has allotted €35,000 for the shelter, to be in-built cooperation with Hikemates, the city of Vyšný Medzev and the regional tourism organisation Košice Región Turizmus.
